Devastating flood waters have destroyed much of the communities in the city of Brisbane, Australia. Neighborhoods and dozens of facilities are submerged under water due to the high levels of water flowing through the city. A man died due to the extreme currents of the muddy water flowing into the storm drain. The last recorded flood in this area was in 1974. In some areas water reached tops of roofs of homes and buildings. The flooding, which has killed 25 people since late November, has submerged dozens of towns – some three times – and left an area the size of Germany and France combined under water. This flood was devastating to the city and to the citizens.

Shark Attacks

Between the years 1580-2008 the most frequent attacks by sharks occured to people between the ages of 15-34.

Within the same time frame the most frequent 92% were male, 6% women.
